windows vista crc problem

hi guys im having some seriopus problems with vista.
when i download any file which needs to be unzipped i get a crc errror everytime ive tried winzip winrar stuffit any ideas whats the crack with it.im using home premium version.

Have you tried running any of these programs in Compatibility Mode? e.g. Make Vista run the program like Windows XP would. :idea:

Very good with the quip there mate the problem is its time to move on now and let xp die like it should.

Anyway ive tried to sort this out in compatibility mode and still no joy...

Does the file definately work on another PC? Its possible that its been corrupted in the "Zipping" process.

only come across a two things that gave a crc error, one was a corrupt zip file, other was trying to use windows built in zip thing rather than winzip. That affected one particular zip file, think it was a beta download for a game ages ago.

well this situation still isnt sorted i even had so called bt experts have a look and still no joy i even had problems when downloading a demo of nero from aheads website bloody m$ im getting very close to telling them to kiss my big fat sweaty **** over this....... :twisted:

just try another zip file first.
