Hi All.
I've got a Vista machine in for repair at the moment. It's got the dreaded C1F5 BSOD...
Everything I've found so far says to reinstall - does anyone know of a fix that doesn't need me to vape the drive? There's quite a bit of important data on it...
Aside: I cannot believe that Microsoft allows this fault to persist. Killing a machine outright because one log file is corrupt is just apalling. Even if their testing regime is so poor that this gets out into the wild, to have it still happening just smacks of indifference.
Right, I feel better for that.
Vic.
