I like the specs of the Blazer T7400, but under RAM it says 'Supports up to 2GB',
Is this a definite limit (and what restricts it?)? As I will probably want to upgrade in a year or so and add more RAM, as I have done with my current machine.
All the laptops I have come across only have 2 slots for RAM. Although you can buy 2GB sticks of RAM, you would be looking at paying in excess of £400- 500 a stick. Maybe they have improved, But 2GB RAM even in normal sized sticks has a reputation for being flaky. But in a year or so's time, there will possibly be a BIOS update that would allow further expansion.
Hi
I have checked and it is definately a max memory support of up to 4Gb
this is becase 4Gb is how much memory the memory bus can address.
cheers :)

If you wanted a 2Gb stick of Ram we could sell you one at approx £120 plus Vat. slightly cheaper than 400

Thanks for the replies. I wouldn't be looking at upgrading now, so by the time I am the 2Gb sticks will be more reliable.
