Looking at clocking my Q6600 over it's current 3.4GHz, what's worth getting over my current Tuniq?

Paul
The T Tower is a good cooler. There are better air coolers such like the TRUE Black (http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/prods/Components/Cooling/CPUCoolers/Thermalright/TRUEBLACK120.html) or Prolimatech Megahalems (http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/prods/Components/Cooling/CPUCoolers/Prolimatech/PRO-MEGA.html). You'll need a good fan(s) for them with high static pressure. Avoid the Noctua's. The only 120 fan worth recommending that NT do is the Scythe Gentle Typhoon AP-14 here (http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/prods/Components/Cooling/Fans100mmplus/Scythe/D1225C12B4AP-14.html). Otherwise, i'd suggest looking for a San Ace H1011 for both those coolers. Theres a site that sells them, but i can't link you. If your really interested in buying, PM me. They truly are the best fans out there. You'll need a fan controller or voltage restricter of some kind to drop the speed from there 100CFM they produce as they are kinda loud at full speed, so best to run @ 7v's like i do for nice comfort, yet still great airflow. If your doing some serious OC'ing or benching, just wack the voltage up.

Not entirely sure on the titan fenrir HOWEVER custompc highly rate it and I rate it more than the noctuas as its doing a better job!
Nip over to bit-tech or get the custompc mag and have a look. Theres some good articles consisting of around 20 coolers reviewed only the other month.

Hi there
For me I'd say the following were the best:-
1. Prolimatech or however its spelt.
2. Thermalright True
3. Xigmatek Thors hammer with fans or Dark Knight.

What about those closed loop WC systems from Corsair and Cool IT?

Hi there
The Corsair H50 unit is actually very good, its definetely worth considering as for the money its pretty good value as it is a complete kit. :)

If you actually have to buy a close WC loop for the CPU, then the H50 would be the best. However, you can achieve better temps with a TRUE or Megahalems.

Is noise an issue? If not you really cant fault the TRUE with 2 x
Delta FFB1212EHE
Fantastic fan! Makes a **** of a noise mind but honestly who cares when 2 can output an insane 404cfm.
Yes 4-0-4!!

How did you work that one out Andy? Delta's produce a max of 220 CFM (depending where you search)
You can't just add the two together :p

Thats it though... if you have 2 fans, they shift 190cfm (stated) each and a test average proves it to be 202cfm each. and yes you add them together :P
If I was to arrange these in series I would have an extra 202cfm per fan installed. In parallel its slightly different as the first will maintain a 202cfm whilst the second will (in practice) be reduced by app 40% (so thats 121cfm) and each fan after that will have the same 40% reduction respectively.

Lol, why on earth would you have 2 of those things!? There mental loud!

I've bought an i5 750 recently and got a Noctua with it - haven't had any problems other than waiting for the new mounting bracket.
Prime95 torture test on a stock heatsink hit 69C - after putting in a Noctua on it with a push/pull towards the top of a case in a Thermaltake V9 (so it gets expelled out the 23cm fan in the case) it hit 49C.
I don't have any other coolers to compare against but it seemed to be a decent performance and it's still very quiet.
They are good fans, but over rated and over priced. You can get better fans for less that produce more CFM at the same dB level or less.

I've heard that the Akasa Apache fan is supposed to be better than the Noctua fans - but as a kit the Noctua is decent. Although it's one of the most expensive as well.
The main reason I got it was it was the only one marked for socket 1156 in stock and I really didn't want to stay with a stock cooler =D
