Hi all,

I just purchased the NOV-LCD42D which is currently in transit, i'm just
wondering if this had an HDMI socket on it as the spec suggests?

I'm confused as the viewable pictures on the product page that shows
the port connections on the back does not show the HDMI socket.

Any ideas ?

I've had this LCD since last October and can confirm it has HDMI and DVI inputs. I'm sure you'll be as impressed with it as I was and still am! The panel is an Atec, do a Google as they have their own site. The one and only downside I've found is that you can't program the Sky remote to operate it but apart from that it's a great piece of kit.

Hi,

I've had this now for just under a week and the quailty on it is A1, although the model i received doesn't have an actual DVI port, it does have the HDMI, but when using HDMI i'm having problems when connected to my pc, i have a DVI to HDMI cable and when viewing any resolution on it there seems to be an overscan effect where my desktop is missing the edges. Also when using HDMI i cannot get any audio to work coming from the pc.

I've resorted to using the normal vga socket currently but i was hoping to use the HDMI port.

Ah yes, indeed you are correct, it is a VGA input and not DVI. I connect my laptop via that and have a 3.5mm speaker jack to phono plugs and it's great for playing movies through. If you're missing some of the picture (as I was initially) have a play around with the PC screen resolutions. I eventually found one that fit perfectly though can't remember what it was off-hand. :(
