create/make a boot.ini file without booting seen as i cant? repair console? what to type... so confused..thanks

which OS?

bootcfg /default should rebuild the boot environment on 2k3/XP, or use the automated system recovery.

all OS dependant. or you could boot off a live eval disk and insert one manually, but that'd be a ballache and a bit of a waste of time.

its ok.. i had to format and start again. windows corupts though... so im thinking bad disk?-it is rather scratched...
