It has come to our attention that certain versions of Nero CD/DVD Burning Software are incompatible with Microsoft Windows Vista.

Versions 6 & 7 (except the absolute latest) have problems with installing and will not work.

To get around this:

***important***
UNINSTALL ALL VERSIONS OF NERO YOU HAVE PREVIOUSLY INSTALLED BEFORE FOLLOWING THIS.

1) Download NERO 7 TRIAL from http://www.nero.com/nero7/eng/nero7-demo.php
2) Install it and when it asks for the SERIAL, change the serial already in the box to the serial on the CD wallet that comes with NERO 7 OEM. This will unlock all the same features with the added benefit of being Vista Ready.

Apologies for any inconvenience and we will attempt to keep you informed on any future issues with this software.

Follow on from the last post.

Not all systems come with Nero, this is why they are not advertised as coming with burning software. The Nero software that comes with some PC's is whats bundled FREE with the DVD drive that's installed with the system and from time to the drives will change (same spec just different make or supplier). Some of the version of Nero that come with some of the drives come with a serial number and others come with software that's locked to the drive and has no serial number. The above fix can only be used if you have received a copy of Nero with a serial number.

If the fix does not work, you do not have a copy of Nero or your copy of Nero does not have a serial number you will have to either use Vista's built in software or purchase a copy of Nero 7.
