Advice please

Im looking to build a new pc for the first time and im thinking about going quad core and sli. Is this going to be easy and what would you recommend? I know its gonna be quite expensive. Cheers for your help

it will be as easy as making any other computer.
seeing that intels quad core is a single "slot" solution and is basically the same as any other cpu.
as for recomendations, most will say to go for the striker motherboard.
as for spending this much money, i would just go for a dual core'd cpu and a single 8800gts , but that is just me

ive been told to go for jusr dual core and sli at the moment as there isnt any need to go for quad core at the mo, ive currently got a 3ghz Hyper Threaded intel p4 but i dont know if i would see any noticeable difference if i was to change to dual core.

if you go to a core 2 duo then you will see quite a healthy performance increase
by the way, what will this machine be for?? im guessing gaming :wink:
