Hi Folks.

I just received a new Hyundai E260D 26" today from Novatech and it does not seem to be working. It powers on (The standby light comes on) but no inputs seem to work and no display appears.

Am I missing something... I tried it with Scart, the VGA PC connect, RF ariel...nothing.

I ordered this last week but had it delivered on saturday (as I am off work) but none of the help lins were open in the evening or Sunday it appears, and Im concerned Im coming up to my 7 days for having it replaced.

Any advice?

May seem silly, but have you tried some new batteries in the remote control? I don't own this brand of TV, but lots of units only seem to operate off the remote (i.e. plugging a signal in wont launch tv out of standby).

Hope you get it sorted.

Ady

Hi.

Yeah, tried that, and the Menu buttons down the side of the Unit dont work either.

Thanks anyway though.

I spoke to Tech support this morning and they have issued a Returns number. Though it seems I have to wait till they have checked it first (2-3 Days) before they will send out a replacement.
Bit annoying, but hey... guess I'll just have to wait another week before I can enjoy my new Unit.

Well I am not very impressed with the reliability of the Hyundia E260D. The first one I received stopped working after 27 days, it would not turn on. That was replaced.

The replacement lasted two months and then the sound stopped working. It is now at Repair Tech being repaired. Not sure when I am going to get it back.

If it goes wrong again then I would probably consider it unfit for its intended purpose and request a refund, which would be a pity as its a very good TV when it works.

An update - The TV has come back and seems ok now, in fact the resolution on the PC input also seems to be much better than it was.

I guess this is a fairly new model and I suppose some bugs need to be ironed out. Reading other AV forums it appears that many other manufacturers seem to have problems with their TVs.

Hyundai are probably no different from the others, however their picture quality is very good .
