I have had problems with the TV and my DVD player which simulates HD from normal DVD's. When connected to the DVI input of the TV it is fine when set to 720p but displays 'out of range' when set to 1080i. I thought this was a compatibility issue between the TV and DVD player, however, yesterday I was connected to the Virgin Media V+ system and again 720p output from the V+ box to the TV is ok but the 1080i displays out of range. Is this a known problem and is there a workaround.

This tv only supports 1080i thru' component input, so that is what you will have to use if you wish to use this resolution.

Composite or component? There is a huge difference. I have my Sky HD box thru' component and that works on either 720p or 1080i. My upscaling DVD player would only work thru' component at 1080i after hacking it.

If its component you used and it doesn't work then you will have to call Novatech (I am waiting for mine to be collected and swapped, but they are changing warranty company they use for this manufacturer, so have been told it is upto 28 day turnaround).

Good luck
