Hey guys. ive got a problem and i could do with some help.

Firstly ive been having some problems lately, blue screening whilst gaming etc, so i decided to reinstall windows incase it was a corrupt file somewhere.
Im using XP pro x64 and im on the 'installingwindows' bit, so as i can see im half way through it. (please not ive never done this before).
So heres whats happening...
It starts installing and when it gets to the '34 minutes' i get a message :
The software you are installing for this hardware :
ASUS Virtual Video Capture Driver
has not passed windows logo testing to verify its compatibility with this version of Windows

So, if i continue or cancel this process i get the same result. (this isnt the problem, its the next bit)

Now the second message i get is still on the 34minute, it wants me to install the Nvidia networking bus drivers disc or something. now i dont have it. unless its on my MOBO disk (striker extreme).
If i didnt put it in im stuck here, and if i cancel it just freezes. But if i put it in the next message i get is 'blah blah NVIDIA GeForce 8800GTX has not passed windows logo testing to verify its comapibility blah blah blah'. So i continue installing anyway and then the screen changes to black, lots of texts fires through and then it goes back to the normal install screen and freezes. still on 34min.

And no matter how i boot my pc, i still end going to the installation. so as u can see im in limbo, i cannot cancel and get back onto my desktop, but i also cannot continue the installation. WTF do i do?!

I sounds to me that you are not doing a clean install. Have you booted from the windows CD?

I think its asking you for the chipset drivers. Which you should be able to download from the Asus (http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx) website. Ignore the unsigned driver message. Click on continue anyway.

Hmm.. i've never had anything like this before, I always thought a clean install of Windows XP installs the general Driver's needed, like vga.dll (for graphics) etc.

XP 32bit is great. XP64bit is a dog. XP wasnt meant to be a 64bit system, and has loads of little 'foibles' due to this 64bit code facility being forced onto it. You're gonna love 64bit 7, it handles 64bit and 32bit with aplomb!
