It depends how much of the Office Suite you use and to what level. There are a number of new features in each revision but the average home user will not apply these.

applying passwords, XML support, the task pane, general connectivity...

I have found that each revision is smoother, faster and more user friendly.

Having played with Vista and this version of Office I am a little bit confused as this seemed less intuative than previous versions but I'm sure Microsoft know what they are doing...

Much like going back to using Windows 95 after XP, you don't know what [feature] you've got 'til it's gone!

I got the 2007 a few days ago and it seems pretty cool it does take a while to get used to and doesnt actually seem to give much more in performance :(

Seems alot like another revamp and a couple changes but oh well it was a Beta so free :D
