Hi, I got a new Sony Silver AW-G170AS Dual Layer 18X DVD+/-R/RW 12X DVD RAM drive for Christmas. The problem with it was it ran dvds but didn't burn them. So i came back to Novatech and got it swapped for a Pioneer DVR112 18x DVD +/-RW/RA. That didn't burn or run dvds. Didn't run cds as well. So i thought there must be something wrong with my pc detecting it. So i went to Control Panel, Add Hardware, said it was installed and working fine. Well that wasn't true. Checked the connections all look fine. Took it back Saturday and they tested it and said it was faulty. Gave me another and it has the same problem. They can't all be faulty can they? So what is the problem here?
