Is there a "CoolnQuiet" driver for the AMD Athlone 64 for Vista yet? What do Novatech use on their pre-built systems?

Apparently the driver is built into Vista.

a non-working Cool'n'Quiet driver is a known issue for Vista. But AMD doesn't provide drivers for that because it was decided, that Microsoft has a built-in driver for C'n'Q in Vista. So if you have problems of running that feature you should contact Microsoft and ask them what you need to do in order to get a working c'n'q.

Hi Ben,

Thanks for that. The AMD forum suggest a BIOS update might cure the problem.

Do Novatech have a bios update for the Crossfire II laptop (product code: NNB-329)?

Cheers and thanks.

BIOS update for Crossfire II which allows CoolNQuiet to work can be found at http://www.uniwill.com/UserDownload/258KA0/258KA0.php

This BIOS seems to allow AMD 64 to run at top speed.

We await the result of the "discussion" between AMD and Microsoft !!
