On my new motherboard, (abit aw9d) ive connected the 24pin power cable. But on the top of the board theres an 8pin connector for the CPU. on my psu i only have a 4 pin connector, not an 8? I dont have a clue what to do next! Need help!

look in the manual, and it will tell you to connect the 4 pin into the 8 pin slot, whereabouts i dont know, but it IS in the manual, and will work fine with a 4pin connector
Stolen from another website where someone asked about an Abit Fatal1ty FP-IN9 Sli nForce 650
the reply was.
mobo:
5 DO 1
6 OD 2
7 OD 3
8 DO 4
4pin psu connector:
DO
OD
If you study that, there is only actually 1 way the connector can go in (pins 1,2,5,6) without forcing it that is
Hope this helps :)
