Normally i find ranting at the people who are actually to blame both more soothing and more likely to yield some benefit.

I disagree there.
1. I can understand the being livid part
2. My next day contract would be with the supplier who I paid for next day, not with their agent who is the courier. It would not be my fault that they chose to use an unrelaible service.
Of course there is much I might think otherwise about, eg. talking politely to supplier might be better for all concerned. Also they might be in a better position to tell the courier they are not satisfied, with the service they are providing some of their customers with etc.

I'd agree, if novatech used an unreliable service, but thats not the case. Simple probability says there will be many of Felix but many more who do receive it on time.
If you can offer novatech a better solution then by all means you can blame them, but the couriers are all largely the same, and this happens with all of them.

Dunno...
I'm not going to fault Novatech/ParcelForce here. It is excellent. But does the same combination work where Felix is?

I ordered something at 5pm on thursday, it came before 10am the next day..
Maybe Felix is just unlucky and should stfu complaining at 11pm.
I mean come on, I ordered my 5870 via paypal, for next day delivery, it didn't arrive, but I didn't kick up a fuss, I just posted for a reasoning, it came the day after anyways.

If the one thing he has to moan about is delivery then its a pretty minor thing tbh... I get that its frustrating that he didnt get it the following day but theres ususally a reason for stuff like this plus at the end of the day its not like the graphics card is gonna change the world by coming a day later

True but perhaps playing devil's advocate...
A next day delivery is often a premium service. It can be motivated by the excitement of having something in your hands or (as was the case with a 3 port motorised valve here recently - father had just had a minor op in warm hospital and C/H here had broken down and we were using electric heater) something you need fairly quickly.
I fully agree (not that I'm good at it) that calmness and politeness (perhaps in this instance over the phone) is by far the best policy, have no problem in believing a co such as NT would be understanding, etc. but I can understand people (including me) getting a little excited when things don't work out.

I get your point, but coming and shouting at Nova when its quite clearly with the delivery company now is a little pointless. I get that its novas responsibility to get a reliable contractor, but once an order leaves them theres ****** all they can do with it.

It's not novatech mate it's parcelforce! They messed me around so horrendously with my last order and I kicked such a fuss that I spoke to the MD of parcel force (who wasn't useful either). After he said he wasn't going to do anything I said o was going to go to the ol trading standards with my issue. I'd been sworn at, hung up on AND (this is my favourite) told my parcel was at a post office 30miles away and that I could collect it. I went to collect it to find it wasn't there so I called up parcelforce again and spoke tithe pathetic youth I did before. He was giggling like alittlw girldown the phone as were his work buddies because the parcel wasn't there and they found it amusing thatthey had made me run around after them all day. I made 7 complaints, spent 3 hours on the phone totaling around £46 in charges and wasted my time and fuel costs. Luckily for me the daft prats had the calls recorded so it wasn't hard to prove my "story". I'm in the throws of getting a full refund for all costs and shall making sure those who need punishing are punished accordingly. (it's the only way I won't be speaking to a solicitor or so the MD thinks).
I sadly won't be shopping at novatech again until they sort there orders out with a more reliable service. As such I'm using scan. I didn't want to but it needs to be done. Scan just cashed in on around £600 of my hard earned cash, £15 less than buying from nova and with my loyalty free delivery. Nova's unfortunate loss, not mine.

I prefer city link to be fair.
jonbanjo
07-11-2009, 09:36 AM
And, to be fair, round here, as I said before I prefer PF as they tend to deliver earliest. Between the 3 of us and some home/gardening, improvements, projects, etc.at my parents house, we've had a fair number of deliveries this year and there is no way I'd knock any of the regular drivers we've seen or general levels of service(added: with any company).
But perhaps we are lucky. I'd guess for any courier, it only takes one rogue local depot or driver to wind a fair number of people up...
Hi Felix.
I'm sorry that you're having continued problems - this is most unusual as the couriers if they fail to deliver normally make a point of getting it done correctly the next time. Next working day is next working day, but is your residence in an unusual location or difficult to find/get to? I remember from last time the courier telling us they had difficulty finding you (if memory serves).
To get this resolved I would recommend using our livechat service today (customer services) as I am not in and will not be most of next week either (othewise I'd look into it for you).

I think people would take you more seriously if you spoke alot more nicer... swearing at them, without any punctuality, isn't going to set a great example for people at Novatech is it? or anyone else for that matter.

Hey, Well look guys i gave nova a second chance, But yet again they disopoint.
So from now on after this order gets to me ( If it ever does highly unlikey) i will never order from you guys again.
I can order at ebuyer at 11pm and i will get it the nextday (thats what you call service) But if nova wants to cheap out on delivery they will be loosing thousands of customers.
Also after being spoken to rudely on the phone via nova staff then getting hung up on( 2 ocasions) it makes me think, Should i really be spending money though this joke company? Well you can all work that out for your self NO!
Im sure im not the only person who gets issues with novas delivery methords, I do think citylink is good, OCUK used to use them and i would always get it before 11am! no 4 days late.
The reason im angry is because im loosing thousands on sales (my online store) and there is nothing i can do about this because of the fact novatech is not a relible company. Thank god i live next door to a internet cafe so hey i have managed to make some money this week but not as my as i should have.
Mr. Orange
08-11-2009, 12:09 AM
OCUK fan?
sorry for the accusation, but i'm not enjoying your attitude...
Soon enough a Novatech Representitive will see this, and attempt to help and sort your problem out. go through alot of the other threads, they'll sort you out. So there's no point slating them off, when no NT representitve has replied to any of your problems... Novatech arn't the biggest e-tailer like ebuyer etc. from what i know, they're small, only 4 stores, and 1 head office/warehouse?. Give them a break, they get probably thousands of customers a week/month, and their support team probably get tired of answering the same old questions etc. Wouldn't you?

Novatech>All
They may be one of the smallest etailer out here, but they certainly have the best customer service.
Their choice of courier is based around the customer. Now, the majority here don't have a problem with that. I see how you are frustrated, but Novatech have chosen a courier that has worked in the past.
I think it's time these anti-novatech posts stopped and we get straight to the point with posts.

aaron333 (http://forum.novatech.co.uk/member.php?u=13528) if you needed components for business would you be angry if you dident get them for the date you ordered after a week of waiting for nova to get a working vista backup disk to me that still did not work at all?
I think you would be ******!

What I'm trying to get at it showing your frustration towards people that try to help isn't going to get you nowhere.

mmm I see everyones points' . I had an awful experience ordering something from scan using citylink to my uni while i was doing a summer project. It took no less than 6 attempts for it to be delivered, because the driver couldnt find the building. Of course on the delievry notification online it would say i wasn't there. I see your anger, and when ur angry and people tell u to calm down it makes u more angry. However if you go about these things calmly they tend to move quicker. As for Novatech customer service I have had my fair share of dudd products but i can't recall a time when they never replaced it. I'm glad Novatech aren't as big as ebuyer, the bigger a company gets the worse the customer service often becomes.

As Mike suggested here: http://forum.novatech.co.uk/showpost.php?p=204794&postcount=18 try using live chat on Monday or you could give them a ring.
I suspect this is probably a better method of communication as I doubt that Nova would be willing to discuss yoru personal details in the open and, I doubt you would want that either.
If there is a store near you you could also try talking to them today otherwise coustomer service channels are normaly closed untill Monday.
You are ofcourse free to choose who you shop with, and I expext most pepole (including those on this fourm) choose to shop with a company that gives value for money and they trust.

I am not sure if you had any luck with livechat, so have PM'd the details to some of my colleagues so that this can be looked into on Monday.

Its all down to where you live i suppose, i as others have said can wing in an order like 3-4pm and have it with me the next day at about 8 in the morning,
Its not novatech's fault if you are ordering from a location that is difficult to find/get too. As others have said.
Novatech is a relatively small company (hopefully on the up with a store opening in Bournemouth sometime soon? *hint hint*) and they dont have the resources of other e-tailers as has been said.
Novatech i have seen do always get back to people having problems, as has been said.
I feel there isnt much more that can be said on the matter lol :D

Felix, having a read through this I really hope that it gets resolved. I can understand that you are fustrated but it may not be Novatech's fault, in fact, I really have my doubts it's their fault. It could be the courier that they are using.
I understand you're annoyed but there is no reason to get annoyed with Novatech. Have you phoned them? You may have been able to get an answer out of them through the phone rather than waiting for the LIVE chat (if you used it) or a reply on the forum.
Novatech always care for their customers in the best way they can and they will always do their best to keep you satified. Personally I have never had an issue and I will remain to shop with Novatech for as long as I can. I am 110% satisfied with them but it is unfortunate that things like this pop up.

Different when you need to take a day off to be in to receive it tho, or scheduled it to come on a day off. Then its a lost day, wasted time & effort rescheduling, being in to receive it next time and you wonder if it will turn up even then?
Don't know if that's the case here.
Out of interest did the OP check the tracking? If its 'out for delivery' or not?
If not listed out for delivery best to chase up in the early part of the day.
I had this happen to me with a next day option by DHL when I bought a 2nd 9800gtx+ from a competitor(nova was sold out). I paid the extortionate £8.50 for DHL next day and I also had waited in all day. And the next still no sign, they said they had failed to deliver the day before and that it was out for delivery again. I still hadn't heard anything by 4:30 pm the next day. I was so peeved I left my brother in the house and went for a walk. As I went past my local college a DHL van was turning in. What would I lose I thought? I ran in after the van and waited for the guy to come out. I asked him if he had a parcel for me, he did indeed, said he'd tried delivering it that morning. This lighted my fuse to say the least, and he eventually admitted that he couldn't find the house. I got his name, phoned up the reseller to complain about dhl, and they took all the details and dhl partly refunded them and they passed it on to me. I got £6 back.
I know I may have been a bit extreme there, if I paid say £5 for it I wouldn't mind, but £8.50 was taking the Mick in the first place, and then failing to deliver at all in two days was just unacceptable.
Cje's rant about dhl over.

When we receive orders from customers they are sent almost straight away, unless the customer is informed there will be a delay, we send goods out for next day delivery so you cannot put the blame on Novatech, I would suggest that you vent your anger on the courier company rather than Novatech.
