Help Please Philips LX1000 Media centre

I have recently just bought a Philps LX1000 and it works fine on my monitor.

But when I have it hooked up to the TV with a cable straight from s video on the machine to Scart on the TV I only get a black and white picture or jumping up and down color. ( I have changed the setting to Pal and s video in the options)

I would be very grateful if you had time to answer my question.

Basically i think i may have the wrong cables or it could be another stetting i need to change in windows media.

Right got it to work, but by only buying a third cable which plugs the s video to the s video on my TV.

However now when I select media center the screen goes black and flickers, and the funny thing is if I press the window key it stops and I can see the media centre options but if I click one of the options the screen starts to flickers again, and i have to press the windows key again so I can see.

I think it may be a decoder problem but I am not sure.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
