Help me!

I have a Belkin Wireless router and use my laptop and PS3 wirelessly and Desktop connected to it with Ethernet.
It works fine when just using the Desktop but when I start to use the laptop or PS3 online it will eventually crash. All the lights go out except the modem light and the wired computers light goes orange.

Router info
Firmware Version F5D7230v4_UK_6.00.14
Boot Version v1.04
Hardware 4.00.01
Serial No. BEL7d7d0bc

Any ideas?

do wireless routers mind having several things connected wirelessly to them at once?

after that happens, touch it, is it very hot??
some routers have a problem with heat cases similar to this

It is warm on the underside but I wouldn't say it was any hotter than normal. If it is because it gets too hot how can I keep it cool?

in an open area, plenty of breeze that can circulate it
(extreme way is to drill holes in its sides)
(dont do it if there is still a warranty to be had)

It has just done it again, router not hot at all.
Could it be a firewall feature?

could be a lot of things, have you tried a full reset on it? Could even be someone trying to get onto your machine past it.

Hi, I have tried Reinstalling it, reset factory settings, upgrade of firmware and even tried Belkin support from which I have had no answer yet.

I'm losing valuable online PS3 time so am going out to buy a Linksys router, see if that works.

i cant say i have had good experience with linksys routers but i have really got to reccomend the netgear ones they look good and work great :P

the cheapy add-on (novatech branded) wireless routers are cheap and cheerful.

mines been going over a year, not a single problem and worked out the box.

however if you're doing anything in the admin page, use IE. firefox just crashes is, haven't tried opera yet
