Is Antec Nine Hundred case a worthwhile purchase cos I am completely rebuilding my comp from scratch when I get paid on tues.
I've decided on everything else but dont know what case to get.
I am looking for something that has good airflow going through it and can handle any motherboard being fitted into it
I quite like the case. Its very quiet with all the fans on low. I have it under my desk in quite a confined space. CPU Temps are normally about 38 degrees.
It was fiddly putting in the floppy drive cage (about 8 screws!). The only other drawback is the PSU sits at the bottom of the case. This caused a problem with the 4pin CPU power connector. It runs quite tight across the board but only just reaches.

p180
exactly.
or better, p182.
i heard the 900 is a dust magnet, so i bought the p182, cooling is just as effective as 900, but is designed to be quiet and elegant.

The 900 does attract alot of dust (mine is on the desk aswell), I am in the process of looking into fitting filters.
It just depends on how much you are willing to spend on a case. For the price its great, and there wont be many issues with fitting componets inside. You also have to look at weather you want it that quite? on Low fan speed settings you can just hear it. Most of my noise comes from my HSF if i set it to the highest setting.

all cases will atract about the same amount of dust, the 900 wouldnt attracct more than others.
just need to dust/hoover more :P

Dusting/Hoovering? Im not sure my squat mates would like that! Its hard with no windows and bad damp! But seriously i do find it attracts alot because of the two fans at the front. More than other cases i have owned.

with dust filters on the all the intake pannels of p182, it shouldn't attract more dust than 900.

My sons 900 is no worse than my tt armour for dust, all cases with a large airflow will have dust, it would seem quite obvious really, all in all i like the 900 its cheap very effective and looks great, yes there is a problem with the 4pin power connector but that is easily solved with an extension from maplins, its cooling is far more effective than my far more expensive tt

Hi all.
I have just ordered this case today after reading reviews but I am concerned about the dust issue. I was just wondering if anyone can advise how easy it is to add filters to the front fans?
I wont be doing the upgrade but if I add filters I need to know if it will be simple for me to do myself. I am fine with basic things like installing Gfx or sound cards or RAM.
Thanks for any advice ^^

Dust will always be a slight problem with any case that has a high airflow my son has this case and dont find it too bad.

Have you ordered the Antec 900? If so then the 900 does not come with fan filters. I, my self, have been wondering how easy it is to fit fan filters. I am unsure if i should by them and be it a waste of time and money not being able to fit them.
If you have ordered a different case forget everything i just said :D

just use a pair of tights, they create good fan filters

as far as i can read on reviews, NO filters are provided.
on the other hand, Antec p182 is a great case with dust filters behind each front air intakes, with a door to hide them.
I'm looking to buy a 900 for my first build, but I'm unsure over a good PSU for it. I see on the hexus review above they mention the Antec Neo HE, but I've read mixed reviews.
I'm looking at most likely a 500W, any recommendations?

I have an Atrix 650W in mine and I love it. It has mesh cabling, every plug under the sun and a speed **** for the fan so it can run silent. The blue light matches the Antec case fans perfectly. They're about £30.

I've done a stupid thing.
I pushed my reset button with my pen, and held it down, and it pinged inside the case.
I've taken it apart and there seems to be no access to the control panel, it's all covered with a plate and held together with rivets.
Does anybody have any suggestions please (aside from not being so rough)?
