Maybe someone on this forum knows or can help. I bought the Atec 37" LCD, the one with the HDMI connector. I noticed that it doesn't have a power LED, well one which works! Interestingly the display model in the Bristol branch hasn't one either! Now is this a common problem or do they really not have a power off/on LED?
Secondly is this model truly Freeview compliant as it dosn't have the 'Red button' option which it must have to be DVB and Freeview compliant.
Thanks in advance for your collective responses.

I have the 42" version of this TV. Are you sure it doesn't have an LED displaying that it's in stand-by? Reason I ask is that mine does have one but you have to look VERY hard to see it! Directly under the Atec logo there's a sort of strip in the housing like -------------. On mine, that's the LED. It's very, very dim but darken the room and you should see it glowing faintly, if it's same as mine that is.

Hi Parva
Yes you are quite right it does have a RED LED, just! My manual decrees it should be RED on standby and GREEN when it's on. I'm pretty certain that there isn't a green one, well not one that is visable to the human eye!
I still haven't had any response regarding the 'RED' button which is a pre-requisite of Freeview and DVB. Maybe someone from Novatech would care to comment?

I'm pretty certain that mine doesn't have the green LED either. If it does it's even dimmer than the extremely dim red one! I'm afraid I can't comment on the DVB problem as I don't get DVB broadcasts where I live so that function of the TV I have been unable to use. :(
