looks like Windows Update automatically installs a driver that make the device recognised as a camera -.-. I did manage to get it working... for a bit, by stopping windows update downloading the driver, but the next time i plugged it in, it downloaded it -.-.
Now to try Windows XP Mode..

it works with Windows XP Mode. But still not in Windows 7, it keeps getting recognised as a camera.
and not being displayed in iTunes.

I'm going to try right clicking, going to the driver bit, and uninstalling. then uninstalling iTunes, reinstalling iTunes, and connecting again
Any joy? I'm on Windows 7 and was about to upgrade the bairn's lappy but I have got her an Ipod Touch for Christmas.....

ah, I recieved Windows 7 Ultimate x64 today, and it works perfectly fine with it.
Though there are quite alot of people on the net that seem to have problems, If worst comes to worst, use Windows XP Mode.

Only got Home Premium, does that have XP mode? Rather just put Itunes on my daughters laptop as well as it's a horrible bit of software.
