Hi Everyone

I'm dodge2.0 a newbie to this forum (though not to computers).

I've just bought a new 37 inch wide screen LCD tv which is great. However two days after it had arrived the package I bought had dropped by £130 quid :x I tried ringing Novi to see if there was any chance of a bit of discount on my next purchase only to get the "We will ring you back" They never did

Anyway my problem is this!

I am running my system in 1280 x 800 at 60 hertz from my DVI output through the HDMI input. The desktop fits perfectly in the screen, however when I play games the game screen is about 15% larger than the tv screen area so I lose all the side icons like ammo info and minis maps.

I tried auto fit and changing the resolutions with no luck. I am now running it through the svga port instead which solves the problem, however the picture quality isn't that good believe me.

Has anyone else had this problem, and does anyone know how I can get my games to fit my television while I am playing them?

My system spec is as follows.

Windows XP sp2
Asus P5ND2sli Mother Board, bios revision 0605.
Intel 840 dual core processor.
Twin 7800gtx graphics cards.
2 gig 533 mghz ram.
620 watt power supply.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hope this made sense to you.
Many thanks :D

P.s I know the bios is old, but when I update it the system becomes increasingly unstable after a couple of days and begins to fail.

Have you tried running it at full res (1366x768)?
Is 1280x800 a supported resolution? Or did you mean 1280x768?

What game are you running?
The game will have to set the resolution you want too.
