competition cancelled due to lack of interest
This thread is for posting IMAGES ONLY for the DECEMBER 09 Novatech photography competition.
HOWEVER! It is recommended that entries are to be submitted ANONYMOUSLY! To do this, simply host the image at a hosting site of your choice then PM (Private Message ME (http://forum.novatech.co.uk/private.php?do=newpm&u=13077)) the link and a title of the image of which I will post into this thread. This keeps voting later on non biased based on any forum user popularity.

I thought I would get us started with the competition since nothing was happening.
THEME: "Winter"
Rules:
1: Images
- Images must not contain adult material or illegal activity. No nude photography, even glamour.
- Images must be taken by the poster and within the time frame 24th November 00:01am – 24th December 23:59pm. Proof of ownership of the image will be required from the winner whereby the image must be sent in original format and edited format (if edited) containing full exif data.
- Images are encouraged to use only minor edits in post processing software such as Photoshop rather than major edits that detract from the original photo. Any photos considered majorly different from the original where the majority of work is in post, will be rejected in this competition. Use common sense at the end of the day. Do not ADD to the image items that were not in the original photo. For the majority of people this should mean you are not restricted in anyway.
- Images must be presented/linked to on this forum with a suitable file size (no 10mb TIFFs for example) and with it’s LONGEST side no more than 800 pixels.
- Images must be hosted at a reliable hosting site and remain viewable for the duration of the competition.
- Must be posted in .jpeg format and work when linked to in the thread
2: Equipment/techniques
- There are no restrictions or requirements on equipment or technique used throughout.
3: Entries
- Anyone with a forum account can enter ONE IMAGE EACH. Please give your image a TITLE – this will aid voting later on. No duplicate forum accounts are allowed.
4: Winner/voting/prize
- There will be a prize for the winner. That’s all you need to know right now. It’s not a joke prize. There will be a genuine prize for the winner. More details later.
- Votes will be cast by forum members within a voting thread after the time to submit photos has ended. This voting thread will be open for votes for 1 week. The closing time will be specified when the thread is made. The winner will be announced for this particular competition on December 31st.
- Only one vote is allowed per user or forum account. No duplicate accounts.
- ALL entries will be included in the public vote subject to forum software limitations. If the number gets too high, we will split into more threads or find another way around this.
- The winner will be the person that receives the most votes for their single image.
Anyone seen to be deliberately trying to bend the above rules in anyway, risk being banned from any future competitions and possibly the forum subject to novatech staff’s decisions which are final. . Keep it friendly!
