Hi, first of all I'd like to know if there are any iPhone users on the forum?
If so, I have the following questions:
1) Who is your insurace with? What does it cover? Price ect.
2)Anyone suffering from any overheating problems I keep on hearing about?
I bought a iTouch over the weekend, but love it so much I want an iPhone, selling te iTouch to my brother.
Oh wait,
3) Can I re-use the apps I've paid for? (I've read you can)
Thanks for any help!
Aaron.

1, I get it with o2, its £7.50 a month and covers you for literally anything.
2, Ive not had mine overheat, it gets warm sometimes but thats it.
3, Yes you can just download them again from the app store.

Does literally anything include damage that is my own fault?
Also, is there an option to pay in one go?

I dont have insurance on my iPhone however the insurance covers everything bar negligence.
Only time it gets warm is when I have it on the car charger and i'm using it as a sat nav.
Once you've baught the apps on your account they're yours, so you can delete them and redownload them as much as you want with out i costing you extra.

Damage that is our own fault? As in smashed screens etc? Yes!
However I would just misplace is and say "its lost" get a new one then.

woh, I wouldnt get insurance with o2 £7.50 a moNTH! too much. I added mine to my household insurance, which doesn't affect it, other than the excess which is about £40. I would consider doing the same

So, if I were to do that I wouldn't pay a penny?
I have the new 32gb 3GS, my brother has the 8gb 3G. The 3GS is slightly faster at loading and installing applications.
However, a tip to save you money here now. Look at the new features in the 3gs like compass etc. There are quite a few software apps that will give the 3G these features. So unless you want 32gb, save quite a lot of money and go for a3G which is free.
I like my 3GS and don't mind paying £187 for it over my brothers 3G purely for the reason that ALL 5000 songs in my iTunes is on the phone and about 30 episodes of South Park. Plus about 6 pages of apps and games.
I don't have insurance on it. I've checked with my insurer and my house insurance covers it.
Also be aware of insurance scams. My brother got scammed on this one. If you get people phoning you up claiming to be an insurance just tell them to get lost. My brother had accidentally signed up to about 3 differen bogus companies all operating from Swansea. This issue seems to have happened with iPhones sold from the carphone warehouse. I just bought direct from o2 and I haven't had one unsolicited call.
All I'm saying is just be wary, these companies claimed to be the same as the last and they had got hold of most of my brothers details. So they already knew his details. He was slightly dumb I admit, but they were pretty good at how they manipulated him, and their insurance worn cover you for nothing really.

I know someone who tried to claim for an iPhone on their household insurance... the insurance company told him to take running jump as an iPhone is apparently a PDA and not a mobile phone and as such wasn't covered.
Just something to be aware of :D

1 - I dont have insurance, Wasnt worth the cost of it.
2 - Never had it over heat from what I've heard but it does get quite warm some times if you abuse it lol.
3 - Once app's are paid for you can delete & download again at any time thats how it works for me anyways.

Well i have student cover from endsleigh, so it is added under that section, but I know of people who have ensured them on household insurance, it boviosuly depends on the insurer. One thing to look into is whether a claim would affect your no claims bonus.

Right, the issue of insurance is sorted.
Now, the apps.
I know you can re-download apps on seprerate PC's, but don't know how to do it on the same one. If possible, the same Itunes account. Any help?
Thanks.
