anyone know of some free, good scanning software as i cant get Epson Scan to work with win 7, not even in compatibility

epson DX3850 my home printer, Epson Scan doesn't work with windows 7 even in compat. mode.

didnt really find windows fax and scan very good, cant crop or control many settings with the software itself which means a lot of hassle with paint :(
