problems turning on [Archive] - Novatech Community Forums

I am having problems turning on my computer, it sounds like the computer is turning on, but there is nothing coming through on the screen, i have tried the screen on my laptop and there doesn't seem to be a problem with it, I was wondering if anyone knew what my best course of action was?

Also my friend reckons its a problem with the motherboard (the motherboard and graphics card are integrated in my model)

yes sounds like a motherboard problem, how old is it?

Try unpluging the power supply and taking out the ram, then put the ram back in and then plug the power supply connactions back on. Remember to dobule check the ram is seated CORRECTLY!!! and your motherboard power cables are pluged back correctly. Then power up the machine. Also try clearing the CMOS. This also offten works.
