Hello, I'm a bit confused about what motherboard to get, as i've always been a amd person.

This is the CPU I want to base my computer on:
http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/Spec ... l?IL-E6600 (http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/SpecPage.html?IL-E6600)

I need a motherboard which has SATA2 and room for 3gb of ram and PCI express. I don't know which support the CPU :/. I'm looking for a relatively cheap one if you could help me i would be greatful.

775 mobos:

Hmmm anything will do but at cheap you get a load of integrated graphics boards which will be ok but could pose problems with having to turn off the integrated graphics so you could go for something like this http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/specpage.html?MSI-945GM2 but if you are willing to spend a little bit more money i would reccomend the http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/specpage.html?msi-p6nsfi&P=1 which has a lot more features and more future proof but it will end up boiling down to what you are going to do with your computer (overclocking etc)

the 2900xt could be announced as soon as the 10th but ati/amd tend to have paper launches where no hardware actually gets sold
