well i was gaming all morning because of school hols, then i need a restart because there was a crash in CSS and it wouldnt boot again, No problem, restart- get the most alimighty sqeel as before which i reckon is a transistor or something.
I do not know what it is- but i cant rule out heat because my asus probe and all other tempo programs crash the computer or i get "lmcontrol cannot be loacted" or "abnormal program termination".
can one of the novatech techy's advise me on what to do? should i return the board- which i really do not want to do.
Is there a fix for probe?
im on the 1002 bios btw.
thanks

Going by your signature i take it we are talking about this system.
So i would take it that you are running overclocked still?
Try Updating to BIOS 1102, if you are running overclocked, return your system to stock speeds and then please confirm if error still continues.
We cannot replace components where overclocking is the cause of the error. So please confirm that this error happens when system us running within specfication of parts.

this error isnt due to overclock, last time i rma's my board it was after i'd put the new bios on- so all clocks would be set to stock.
The board appears to be OK now, maybe it was just one of those things.
Ill try the new bios tonight and let you know how it goes.
Any help with asus probe?
thanks
should always clear cmos after a bios flash, that way the board will pick up any new 'hidden' defaults rather than use the old ones.

it does i believe when you update it. anyway, boards fine just need my probe working now :D
My dfi nf4 sli-dr didn't :p even though it looked like it did. Once completely lost the disable onboard raid controller menu even though it looked to of set everything else to new defaults.
