Wireless routers?

I was going to buy a wireless router but I saw that it is ether BT line or NTL line and was wandering why you cant use one router for both.

there are 2 types of broadband connection. adsl and dsl. adsl is supplied thorugh a bt phone line and dsl is supplied through its own cable (the same cable that supplies your digital tv if you have ntl).
