G11 looks good, but a bit pricey.
What are the features of the Microsoft Sidewinder x6?
Does anyone use a cheaper gaming k'board that's any good?
It should be backlit, with m'media controls and some macro keys would be nice.

Cheers

Saitek eclipse 1 and 2 are 2 of the best according to custompc and to be fair they are pretty good. The X6 is also very nice. Keyboards such as the g11,g15 and g19 are expensive for what you get but I must say they are worth it.

I've used a Saitek eclipse 2 and I must say it's def worth buying if you're on a budget.

I've got the Reclusa and I've had no problems with it at all. It looks really good with Cool-Blue Backlighting and sleek curves. Feels good on the hands too.

It can be had for around £25 if you dig around google. ;)

i'm afraid that im not to keen on the saitec, i prefer the look of the razer and the sidewinder. I'm interested in the sidewinder, cuz it looks smart and has the detachible thingy, but it seems a bit TOO cheap. Poor build qaulity? i thought it was aliminum...
I would seal the deal with the Razer, but I dont think it has a backlight... a fair price to pair for a nice Razer?

If you want cheap back lit the Saitek is the only real choice. It does not have macro keys and is really quite basic. It does have media controls though.

TBH not really sure why you would want macros. I find no use for them at all.

Saitek just came out with a new "touch" range, they keep emailing me about it - maybe check it out, not sure if it is released yet. Could be pricey, too.

But saitek aren't bad, and their backlighting is fine.

I'm using the Sidewinder right now. Really smart looking bit of kit, but the angle isn't elevated enough for my liking. a pit of rupper tape will sort this though.
