Hi, please can someone clarify if this chip has ready-applied heatsink compound? There are three strips of something in place already, but I want to be sure. Thanks.

On the back of the fan, I mean.

If this is Retail box CPU with Intel Fan.

The three grey stripes on the copper back of the Heatsink is the thermal paste.
When you clamp heatsink down the pressure will spread out the paste.

Nope should run fine just as it is.

Remember though that if you remove the HSF in the future, you will need to clean off the old Paste from HSF and CPU and apply new paste.
