Hi, not sure if this is the right section but I've recently gotten an APC Smart UPS 2200 and being a total clutz I have managed to press the on button too hard causing it to recess in the case.

I've tried a number of attempts to lift the front panel off so I can access and reseat the display but so far all to no avail, has anyone else had this issue and resolved it? Other than by having a competent user at the helm :?

Ok, much brute force and ignorance has revealed that there are 4 plastic arms which clip into the steel chassis.

the top two require pressure from centre out (left and right) the lower two require pressure from top down to release.

All sorted now. Doh!

arf arf :D

Was thinking about getting a UPS the other day, have had a few brief power outtages recently - one reset the bios causing windows to think it had expired - was pretty annoying.

well i have a worse problem.
when i turn my fan (pedistal) on, my computer turns on, which is weird.
and not good at all ,seeing that my gfx card fan goes to 100% until windows is found.
