Hi,

Have you set up Internet Connection Sharing on both Pc's? They both need to be in the same "Workgroup". CLICK ME (http://www.practicallynetworked.com/sharing/xp_ics/networksetupwiz.htm)

To share files:

* Find the folder you want to share and right click on that item. Select "Sharing and Security" from the drop down list.
* If it isn't already selected, click the "Sharing" tab at the top.
*In the "Network sharing and security" section, select "Share this folder" if it doesn't already have a check mark beside it.
* There's an "Allow network users to change my files" selection as well. I would leave this unchecked to prevent accidental deletes or changes.
* Then from the Start menu (or desktop), "My Network Places" . The folders selected for sharing should be available.

Printer sharing:
* Start with the computer that's connected with the printer. Select the "Start" menu from the lower left corner and click "Control Panel." You should still be in "Classic View". Double click on the "Printers" icon, and then right click on the printer you want to share
* Click "Sharing" and give the printer a name. (The default is "Printer," which is fine if you only have one printer)
* Now switch to the computer that you also want to share the printer with. Double click the Printer icon in the control panel just as you did on the desktop PC. Then click "Add a Printer" from the menu on the left. Click "Next" in the "Add Printer Wizard." Click the button that says "A network printer, or a printer attached to another computer"
* Choose the Printer that you just named on your network

(Edited from here (http://www.intel.com/personal/how-to/home/share-files.htm))

This should be a quite straight forward setup, but for some reason it can be a pain to get working.

Hope this helps
