Right, I bought this TV at the end of March to use with my PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. Up until tonight it's been great, but now the sound has gone off.

I have no idea why it would have gone off! Just turned on my 360 (Connected using component) and there was no sound. No sound for my PS3 (Connected using HDMI). No sound for normal TV either. It doesn't even do the little beeping noises when I turn it on/off any more. I've checked all wires, twice. Disconnected/reconnected the speaker. Connected the audio output directly to my PC which uses my HiFi to play sound, and there was no sound, meaning the TV simply is not putting any sound out at all.

Anyone got any ideas why? It was working earlier today. Like 2 hours ago! I went to do a bit of shopping, came back and it's not working. Hopefully someone will tell me it's a known problem and an easy way to fix it before I kick off big time, demand a refund then go buy the TV from the Argos advert instead!

I'm unbelievably pissed off by this!!!!

Hi,

Snap! Same model, same problem. I too bought it back in March. A few weeks ago it started playing up. Sometimes it worked sometimes it didn't. Now I have no sound on any input. Also no picture on the SCART sockets, it just says "no signal". There's also no sound from the audio outputs as well as the speakers. I'm also getting no startup sound. I've reset it, unplugged everything and plugged it back in and still no joy. I've got a playstation and DVR connected. Currently I'm using the sound from the DVR and picture from the digital TV. As there's no signal detected from the DVR on SCART I can't set up recordings. This situation is very unstatisfactory.

As it's pass 28 days Novatech have recommended I contact Hyundai's repair tech who will either replace it or take it away for repair.

They did the same to me - I've been looking for ages now trying to find a ******* box - they said they can't take it without a box and obviously I don't have my box as I wasn't expecting a £500 TV to **** up in the first few months!

Great!

They did the same to me - I've been looking for ages now trying to find a [CENSORED] box - they said they can't take it without a box and obviously I don't have my box as I wasn't expecting a £500 TV to [CENSORED] up in the first few months!

Great!
Hi,

Luckily I always keep boxes. I haven't phoned them yet. What did they say about the faults? Will they collect it for repair?

In the general sceme of things £500 ain't a lot for an HD TV. Most of this size are two/three times the price.

Yes, they'll come pick it up and see if they can fix it, they said it'd only be away for about 2 weeks, but that doesn't help me much as I've got rid of my other TVs and the monitor I was using for my computer!!

FFS!

Hi,

Just an update to report that mine has started working again. Weird.
