You wont need that SATA cable at all part from that you should be fine, and getting new mobo and ram is simple enough just be careful when taking the memory and mobo out.

scrap the barebones idea and get this
http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/specpage.html?MBB-6204G
along with
http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/prods/Components/Cases/Cases/Antec/0761345-08300-3.html
and
http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/prods/Components/PowerSupplies/OCZ/OCZ500SXS-UK.html
for same price as what you have listed. ditch the ide cables as you dont need them. also for the hardrive get a samsung f3 500gb and for the cd drive get
http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/prods/Components/OpticalDrives/SATADVDWriters/Optiarc/AD-5240S-0B.html
and you are sorted.

I agree. Samsung Spinpoint F3s are much faster than that barracuda for slightly less - slightly quicker than Caviar Blacks IIRC.
As for the case, once again you cant go any better for the price, or even more money in some cases. (no pun intended :rolleye:)
As for the motherboard bundle, I would normally tell you to split and buy separate. However, with the price of RAM atm you really arent gonna be able to go faster for your money.
One question. What are you going to be using this for?

A few games, AA3 diablo 2 and things like that, nothing massive. Work, my ou course, photo/video editing and general bits and bobs.
Yeah the price of ram is a tiny bit high atm lol. Otherwise id of put more money into the main board and the ram. But i may as well leave it till i have more money as it should of settled by then anyway, least thats what i figured :)

if your not playing major games, scrap the 5850, you wont need that. use the money on a good quad core instead. not sure but you might be able to afford an i5 750 with that budget
EDIT: done a quick build for you tasks. low amounts of gaming, more video encoding. slightly over budget at £575

you could save a bit on the above by going AMD and unless you overclock you will prob see better stock performance with the AMD bundle (http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/specpage.html?MBB-9554G) too. but even then that board and cpu overclock pretty good too :)

The Foxconn 6100 board that Nova are using in some of their barebones and bundles is known to have boot issues with ATI HD 5xxx series cards currently. Avoid that combination. :rolleye:
