can you use nvidia 8 series on XP ? i think you cant as it says "built for vista" and "built for dx10" all over the description, but wernt 2006 and below cards "built for dx9" and "built for XP" yet you can still use dx8 and below on them..
so could anyone tell me if 8 series ( say 8600 for e.g ) is fully compatable on an XP OS and using DX9 on them some how ? thanks
EDIT: (some more info to confuse people who have XP and want 8 series..)
* Full support for both Microsoft® DirectX 10 and DirectX 9 for unparalleled levels of graphics realism and performance
* NVIDIA PureVideo™ HD2 technology provides unsurpassed Blu-ray and HD DVD movie picture quality
* NVIDIA 8 Series graphics processors are essential for accelerating the best Microsoft® Windows Vista™ experience
----------------------------------------------------------------------
so we see that you CAN use DX9...
now what about XP ?
