CD DRIVES

I have got a 3 month old Novatech computer. For the last few days it has not been able to read discs from the D drive. If you click on the icon it just says insert disc. I have tried it with loads of discs, all good, but no joy.
Can anyone tell me where to hit it, or what I can do to sort it out.

try a music Cd see if that reads,

failiing that, pop the side of the case and check the ribbon cable on the back is on nice and tight, check the other end too, if not, give N a ring and arrange a return

get one of those disk clean things, u know the one that you put in cd players if they are not working.
and if not then yeah
give N a ring

I would have thought that a new system should not require a CD lens cleaner so early ?

As above, check cables and try different types of media.

These PC's are not infallible, mine came with the graphics card not seated properly.
