i know there are a few people here accustomed with 3d design and rendering. myself i used autocad as well as 3dmax and starting on maya. i decided to make this thread for people to show off their render work as awell as maybe do a monthly themed design on whatever platform just to see what people come up with :)
chats and ideas welcome :)

It looks amazing some of the stuff you can perform on it, but I have got a long way to go before I reach that standard, it is quite complicated but im sure I will get my head around it in the future.

go thought some guides.. most software is just as complex as photoshop
if you know nothing its all complicated just to do anything.. once you know the basics you go from there

I think I will try that, I have got the basics but its the more advanced stuff it starts to become more challenging :)

hi if anyone is interested im going to design a heatsink and in a few weeks post the renders.. if anyone else is game, join in too and show off what you come up with :) use any program though makes sure it is as accurate as possible.. dont worry about retention etc just the actual heatsink its self. it must be a MAX of 160mm tall the rest of the dimenstions etc are up to you :).. just do your research properly or steal dimentiosn of existing heatsinks :)

I lost interest in blender to be honest :D
& we do have a specialised class that does advanced tools/graphics
they use a package called Autodesk Inventor.
