external drive OS support?

Hi, I recently recieved an external dvd burner (lg gsa-2164d), which came with driver support for windows2000/xp. The description page (http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/specpage.html?lg-2164d&P=1) however states the unit is compatible with windows98..... can anyone confirm if this is a missprint or if there is a way the drive can be used under 98?

look on their FAQ's page, it should have some answers there
