you could probably look at a cpu over clock and a new graphics card really? possible crossfire?

As f12f12 said you would proberbly looking at a new graphics card or crossfire to improve gaming and to imporve performance OCing is proberbly the way to go.

Ok so I was thinking about the HD 5770 1gb
In the future if I want to crossfire il need a new mobo so il hold off on that I think
so for somone who has. Never overclocked anything before where can I learn to do this
I kinda need a simple guide
Thanks

i was lucky on my first over clock as my mobo came with software, this got me to 2.5 just by clicking a button.
any way to over clock by the bios is so easy i figured it out.
fist things to find out; whats the max voltage and heat your cpu can take (find out from manufacturer).
now knowing your limits you can start to over clock. first you need to increase the FSB this will over clock your ram and cpu (you may want to change the ram divider or lock it to a stable speed) after increasing the FSB a bit save to cmos and try to boot, if it boots and runs stable (use some thing to stress the cpu like prime 95) then you have applied a over clock you can then go back and change to increase the over clock if you wish too. if it fails to run stable then you can add more voltage (with in the limits you found before) or reduce the clock until it is stable.
Lol I winged it when I first overclocked and got lucky :P

heya good to see you back on the forums.. for a good oc you will likely need a new cooler, if your case can fit it try the hyper 212+ or if not the hyper Tx3

http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/prods/Components/Cooling/CPUCoolers/Coolermaster/RR-B10-212P-GP.html
these are both great low cost coolers and both can be put in push pull afaik.. with that cpu i would say 3.6-3.8 is quite possible.. the only drawback will be your ram but ram is still stupidly expensive :(
i would suggest on start up press delete to enter bios. select the advanced tab, then jumper free options (cant remember the exact layout of the bois on the mobo) there should be an option saying cpu overclocking and it will be set to auto.. you will want to switch it to manual. the default HT clock is 200 try upping it to about 250-270 (will give you a speed of about 3.5-3.8) you will also need to increase the cpu volts from auto - about 1.45v (this will vary depending on stability you might need more/less) also you will need to check the RAM speed though ram will usually set itsself to a working clock but it might be best to set it to manual clock -400 get the cas timings to 5-5-5-18-32 or the like (check cpuID for SPD on memory) with 2.1v on the ram
as this if you went for 270 ht clock will give you a speed of 3.78ghz cpu and 1080mhz ram
though get a cooler first :P

a G25? is that a car? :S a keyboard...? a mouse ?? haha xD
coolers are a good investment as you can keep them when you upgrade. overclocking that dual to about 3.8ghz will unlock a load of extrra performance from your graphics though how much extra performance is to bee seen as not many people on this forum has submitted OC'd results from the athlon 2's..
