On my novatech Isys pro running XP I have tried unsuccessfully to obtain the Bios and safe mode screens. Start up screen states:
ESC- Boot Menu
DEL- Set up
TAB- POST
I do not seem to be able to get these functions to work.I have also tried constant tapping of DEl on start up, also same on F8 but no joy.Can anyone advise please.

Hi, Welcome to the forum
Are you using a ps2 or usb keyboard and are they running through and adapter? Because if you are using a usb keyboard it might not switched on in the bios to detect it thus not allowing you to obtain the bios. Try plugging in a ps2 keyboard and try then you should be able to get in the bios using a ps2 keyboard then change the bios settings to detect usb devices on boot.

Are all the lights coming on on the keyboard when you turn the pc on and does it work when you boot into XP and type something in notepad for example.
And it wont boot into bios or safe mode using either a usb or ps2 keyboard?

Strange.........
Who makes the motherboard and what model is it? Roughly how old is it? and have you upgraded anything recently in the PC or touched the RAM?
Thanks

Bios or CPU issue - you need to talk direct to nova by Live Chat maybe heatsink detached during transit pulling CPU out.
Bios won't do anything if CPU don't work - if you have a working system and are just trying to get into Bios looks like a BIOS bug.
Again talk to Nova on Live chat they can step you though som esimple proceedures to potentially sort or arrange return.

Thanks to all for suggestions. It looks like contact with Nov is only answer.

No problem, hope you get it sorted without to much hassle.
Proberbly best to contact Novatech, this is very unusual. As PMM said they will be able to guide you through steps to try to establish the problem and if it can't be sorted they will sort out a return for you.

To All Who Kindly Offered Advice. After thinking over what you all said I did a bit of tinkering. I first replaced the supplied Logitech keyboard which is USB fitted with a different Ps2 board and this worked okay thus eliminating any possible CPU motherboard problems.
I had previously installed a 4-point USB card and had the keyboard plugged in here.
I removed the plug and used one of the 4 points on the back of the computer and this worked okay.
I know not why this was the answer but I am now content in the knowledge that the facilities are accessable should I need them
I have added the foregoing should the information be of (academic!) value.
