I'm in the process of removing the Windows 7 RC (here (http://forum.novatech.co.uk/showthread.php?t=19829)) but need an elevated command prompt to access BCDEDIT or bootsect.exe from the RC installation disk.
When I installed XP originally I didn't use a password for the Administrator account; so the option to run as administrator is greyed out. I've logged on as John and Administrator but it still doesn't give me the access I need.
I googled the topic but some of the search entries seemed to lead to dodgy sites. Therefore I'm here asking if anyone knows a legitimate workround.
