Right im getting paid at the end of the week so i have about £100 to spend on pc upgrades (stretching overhead to £120) I have decided on a new mobo http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/specpage.html?GIG-965PS3 and am wondering what to buy aswell i was looking at some OCZ ram (1gb matched pair to add to current ram) or possibly 2 hard drives to raid 0 any opinions on what to get for best performance
thanks in advance
edit: comments on the mobo too does anyone have a similarly priced alternative with better performance or wateva

I'd personally go for the http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/spec ... 5cds3r&P=1 (http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/specpage.html?gig-5cds3r&P=1)
Since the last of core2 is going to be made on 45nm It's well worth the extra money imo.

Well if money comes before future proofing stick with the DS3. Depends how much you want to OC though. If you're only on air the DS3 will be fine.
Mind you I've just noticed thats the S3 you're looking at so...

4 quid more ;) Well worth it IMO.
I can't comment on nvidia chipsets though. Personally I don't like them but that could be due to Asus being awful.

Make sure the u buy decent ram as u cant unlink the memory from the fsb so it can limit your oc. But be fine with decent ram. I have them both asus and gigabyte and the asus is defo more user friendly. But p35 is more future proof so difficult to say. In fact i'll just shut up lol.

Are you sure? I thought most Intel boards had dividers. Or are you talking about this board specifically? Even my cheap Asrock has a mem divider
DDR2-800 is pretty cheap these days anyway.
