Hi All,

need sum advice i'm having problems setting up a router to my system, i got a "Netgear Rangemax ADSL Modem Wireless Router + Adapter" DG834PN

, got it home & tried to set it up & just constantly hitting a brick wall ( the cd rom/instructions were next to useless, i contacted Netgear who then blamed my ISP (Tiscali max) saying it was'nt compatible i contacted Tiscali who said their should'nt be a problem

what am i doing wrong peeps???? :?:

i'm getting the usual correct green lights showing up on the router, sum1 told me i had uninstall my isp modem software for this to work!! is that correct or complete tosh?

any help is very welcome please

i did un-install it the first time when i got the equipment & when it asks you to put in the usual 192.168.0.1 to go thru the set-up it refused my details (after i put the usual admin & p/w)

it keeps trying to connect me to the internet & the manual says don't log on!!

i changed the part where it states " never dial a connection"
