Stop Error

Hopefull :oops: y some one can help,when i ever i go to play call of duty 2 or need for speed most wanted,I keep getting a stop error which restarts my computer.The stop error is 100000EA says driver caught in loop on graphics card,Ive got latest driver for video card.I have an nvidia 6600 installed on my computer.I know these games run on directx 9.c.any one please help as what hair i have left ive nearly pulled out thanks.

This is either a faulty card (not that likely) or a bum driver (very likely) ...
First you need to download the latest driver http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp ... then uninstall the old drivers - here (http://nvidia.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/nvidia.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=10&p_created=1096404673&p_sid=8rBXkj2i&p_lva=&p_sp=cF9zcmNoPSZwX3NvcnRfYnk9JnBfZ3JpZHNvcnQ9JnBfc m93X2NudD0yOTAmcF9wcm9kcz0mcF9jYXRzPSZwX3B2PSZwX2N 2PSZwX3BhZ2U9MQ**&p_li=&p_topview=1) don't restart windows as requested but go into the device manager -start - control panel - system - hardware tab - device manager - click on the + next to the display adapters and then right click and select remove...
Now you restart...

Windows will display the "found new hardware wizard" just close it and run the new setup that you downloaded earlier...

I am presuming you are running Xp ... I am also presuming I have made some kind of sense...
