Dear Techies,
I have a virus on my PC or probably a series of malawares as i told a while ago..I got an extra HDD to add as an extra compartment, to the same OS..But what i really would like to know is how do i get rid of the malaware without hurting my registry and make my PC "disable"..For example i am using Malawarebytes and i found trojan horses in the registry and i do not know what to do.....I do not understand the keys and what the names means (XML or parameters under Tcpip..) where the virus is excatly.

Im nervous to delete any keys or change or export anything because i do not understand the registry mechanism and it is very delicate...Sorry for bothering you but i really im in hot water, i cannot use help and support or system restore or the search engine utilities in the start menu because of these viruses, can you help me please? Thank you very much for your time and support...
Kind regards,
D

The best thing to do here is to back up your files and Re-Install windows. because removing the viruses will probly messs everything up anyway. But Malwarebytes' and SuperAntiSpyware are the best free tools.

Install MalwareBytes antimalware and update and run. It might need to reboot afterwards to clean all infections. Allow it to do so. Also install Spybot search and destroy. Also update and allow this to remove any infections. Should this not fully remove all traces, try ESET online scanner.

Note: You will need to use Internet Explorer for this scan

Tick the box next to YES, I accept the Terms of Use
Click Start
When asked, allow the ActiveX control to install
Click Start
Make sure that the options Remove found threats and the option Scan unwanted applications is checked
Click Scan (This scan can take several hours, so please be patient)

'Hi Seabond
That's what i thoguht to do..I bought an extra HDD to add as extra space to back up the files, but i do not know how to do it....You see i want the new HDD on the same OS with the virus, just to use it as i would with an extrnal drive..Do you know what i mean? I do not know how to achieve that, when i connect the HDD the old OS does not come up only a black..I remember with Ata you could have a master and a slave by moving the jumpers, with Sata i do not know how to do it really...Help me please, thank you very much..
Cheers,
D

Just plug it in with SATA, no messing round with jumpers, then you should go to

Start > Right click on computer > Manage > Storage > DM > Right click on new Drive and select "Initialize" if it isnt already (It wont show if it is) > And then Format.
