Freezing

I've had my Novatech computer for just over a year. in the last couple of months it has started to freeze in the middle of working and has been getting worse. At times it freezes on start up, other times every few minutes and on other days maybe just once. There seems to be no pattern in software, number of tasks etc. It virus checks and updates regularly.

I am running Windows XP with Service Pack 2 and the only additional device added to the machine is a Belkin Wireless network card.
The Stock Code PC is 0912TH

Any advice?

heat could be a problem, especially now that summer has started... late!
Well it has where i live, so that could be an issue
