I'm using a Radeon9250 on W2K with up to date SPs and patches. I can use either output or both outputs simultaneously.
Can I have different desktops on the 2 outputs? I can switch between the desktops but the same image is on both screens.
TIA

If the card supports 2 monitors then you can have your computer using 2 screens,

Which connections are you referring too?

Don’t sure which one you are using, but I some how doubt that this card supports 2 monitors

I am pretty sure that this card only supports one monitor. I have Nvidia 6600 which only supports one monitor but I have a choice of connections, so to answer you question, no you can only have one monitor connected, but you can use either of the connections, just depends on what the monitor use's

i don't know about old lower end cards.

but even my old Geforce 4 Ti4400 (from Novatech) supports 2 monitor and 1 TV. i've connected them all together once, and each had a different part of the desktop.

also, my current X1650pro supports at least 2 monitors. because i've recently bought a 22inch LCD, and this graphics card displayed clear extended desktop to both 22inch (at 1680x1050) and the 19inch CRT (at 1280x1024)
