Hey guys i am a graphic/web designer and all the guys in my industry are using mac's
i was thinking of getting a Macbook pro, so was looking for some advice from other graphics minded people whom are currently using macs for their designs,

i mainly use Adobe illustrator and photoshop along with Notepad++ to build my websites, do i really need a mac or will a powerful laptop be just as stable,
i know the design of the macbook is cool, but i am actually looking at the performance side of things,

Get a PC or Laptop. Macs are just a total rip off.

Tell me about it, I wouldn't pay £900 for a Mac, there's no way.

Maybe he could try Ebay or something.

Yeah, I'd go with a new desktop myself, but that's personal preference ;P

I wish the OP luck ;D

I would recommend getting a decent PC or laptop for about £500 - £700 and using Ubuntu studio edition.

Adobe photoshop --> Gnu Image Manipulation Program

Illustrator --> Ooo Draw

Notepad++ --> Bluefish
