hello,
i am looking at the barebones pc in the link below
http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/spec ... l?BB-Q660N (http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/specpage.html?BB-Q660N)
im looking for advice on a graphics card for my new computer.
im not sure how much gaming I will be playing on the computer.
i will be using eiether a 17inch monitor or 19inch monitor both of which i already own.
im not sure if im gonna get vista or xp yet so ive put windows xp down for now. so i want the graphics card to be able to support aero since i might get vista.
my main componants are as follows.
barebones bundle=£468
Samsung Spin Point SATAII 320GB 16Mb Cache Hard Disk Drive=£45.99
Windows XP Home OEM Service Pack 2=£63.50
dvd drive LITEON 20x DVDRW =£17.61
and maybe a wireless card.
I wont have the cash for this pc until just before christmas.
thanks in advance

well, that's a great set up. but for graphics card, i've heard the true mid-range: 8700GTS will be out before christmas, so for 17inch, it's worth considering that.

8800GTS is a bit too powerful for 17inch really. even a 8800GTS 320MB is enough for 22inch LCD.

thanks wuyanxu i will look out for the 8700gts card.
do you reckon novatech will be willing to change the power supply in the barebones bundle to a corsair one?
